DRDO successfully launches VL-SRSAM missile system

On 22 February 2021, the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) conducted two successful tests of the Vertical Launch Short Range Surface to Air Missile (VL-SRSAM), designed and designed with indigenous technology. This missile system is capable of deactivation when approaching enemy weapons.

The short-range surface-to-air missile (VL-SRSAM) developed indigenously was successfully tested twice. The DRDO said that the ultra-thin missile is capable of eliminating any aerial threat in short distances and will be inducted into the Navy.

The DRDO said that on 22 February 2021, it was tested through a mobile launcher from the ground from the integrated test range at Chandipur. He said that the missile was monitored with a number of radars and electro-optic devices from the launch of the missile to the target in the Bay of Bengal.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated the DRDO on the successful test of the missile system VL-SRSAM. DRDO President Dr G Satish Reddy also congratulated the team for successfully testing VL-SR SAM system.

Why was this test

A Defense Ministry statement said that these tests were conducted to test the capability of vertical launch. This was the first test of this kind. In both tests, the missile hit the targets successfully and with full accuracy. The missile was tested for minimum and maximum range. Weapon Control System (WCS) was also fitted with VL-SRSAM during the test.

The background

DRDO is continuously developing advanced missiles. Akash NG was successfully launched from Odisha coast on 25 January last month. According to DRDO, Akash-NG is a new generation surface-to-air missile, which is used by the Indian Air Force to prevent air threats. The missile’s command control system, avionics, aerodynamic system all worked fine during the test.

मुख्य विशेषताएं:

  • यह भारत की पहली स्वदेशी सतह से सतह पर रणनीतिक मिसाइल है।
  • इस मिसाइल को DRDO ने इंटीग्रेटेड गाइडेड मिसाइल डेवलपमेंट प्रोग्राम के तहत विकसित किया था।
  • 9 मीटर लम्बे तरल से चलने वाले पृथ्वी -2 में 250 किमी की दूरी है और यह 1 टन का वारहेड ले जा सकता है।
  • पृथ्वी मिसाइल परियोजना में भारतीय सेना, भारतीय वायु सेना और भारतीय नौसेना द्वारा उपयोग के लिए तीन प्रकार विकसित करना शामिल है।
  • 27 जनवरी 1996 को पहली बार परीक्षण किया गया और 2004 में विकास के चरण पूरे हुए।

Indian Railways Successfully Concludes Recruitment 2020 for 64000 Vacancies. Panel of selected candidates has been approved for 55,378 candidates (26,968 ALPs, 28,410 Technicians) out of 64,371 vacancies (27,795 ALPs, 36,576 Technicians). The Ministry of Railways has successfully concluded the recruitment exercise for filling up critical safety and operational posts and has reached its completion stage. Indian Railways Successfully Recruitment 2020 Candidates Details:

A total of 47, 45,176 online applications were received. The scheme of selection consisted of a 3 stage computer-based test followed by a medical examination (which is one of the stringent medical examinations considering the level of distant vision/colour vision and alertness required from a Loco Pilot) and document verification of shortlisted candidates.

Indian Railways Successfully Concludes Recruitment 2020:

Panel of selected candidates has been approved for 55,378 candidates (26,968 ALPs, 28,410 Technicians) out of 64,371 vacancies (27,795 ALPs, 36,576 Technicians). Appointment letters have been issued to 40,420 candidates (22,223 ALPs, 18,197 Technicians).

Training of newly recruited 19,120 candidates (10,123 Assistant Loco Pilots, 8,997 Technicians) will resume as soon as COVID lockdown related measures ease out. The training process takes 17 weeks for ALPs and 6 months for Technicians.

Guidelines & Call Letter for Indian Railways Successfully Recruitment 2020:

Joining Letters were issued to candidates before Lockdown but some candidates could not join due to COVID outbreak and Lockdown. Due to COVID outbreak, all form of training has been suspended to follow the social distancing norms and in order to limit the pandemics. Training will resume as and when the situation permits.

EFLU Successfully Conducts End-Semester Online Exams!!!! English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) has successfully completed semester-end examinations online. Due to the Covid-19 lockdown situation, the EFLU conducted online exams from May 22 to June 2. The EFLU on Wednesday said as many as 1,195 students at Hyderabad Campus and 91 students at regional campus in Lucknow were eligible to write the examinations.

Some of the test formats which were used to conduct the online examinations were term papers, long assignments, open book examinations and projects. Teachers conducted examinations in a student-friendly way taking into account the online resources available with the students, it said, adding that earlier, classes were conducted online from March 19 to May 15.

So far, the university successfully conducted 15 Ph.D. viva voce examinations online. EFLU Vice-Chancellor Prof. E. Suresh Kumar congratulated the students, research scholars, teaching and non-teaching staff of the varsity for successfully completing the semester-end examinations during the coronavirus pandemic.

The university also confirmed that online classes will continue for all the students till April 29, 2020, which is the last teaching day as per the academic calendar of the university. The PhD viva voce examination for candidates will also be held online due to the nationwide lockdown.

Many universities are conducting online classes and exams in view of the nationwide lockdown due to the coronavirus outbreak in our country. All educational institutes have been shut down to ensure social distancing and to limit the spread of covid-19 virus.
