Yearender 2022: Railway Group D exam with more than 1 crore candidates held after three years

Yearender 2022: Talking about the education-examination and employment events of this year, probably the most recruitment exam ever conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board – RRC Level 1 CBT can be mainly included. More than one crore candidates have applied for this recruitment exam for more than one lakh posts of Level 1 (commonly called Group D) under the zones created in different parts of the country by the Indian Railways. After the Railway Recruitment Board issued a brief notice on March 8, 2019, and then a detailed notification dated March 12 (CEN RRC-01/2019 Level-1 Posts), the examination will be conducted at an interval of about two and a half years from August 17 to October 11, 2022 done in different phases. However, the conduct of this examination was delayed first due to the large number of candidates and then due to the Corona (Covid-19) pandemic spread across the country and the activities were disrupted due to the lockdown imposed for prevention.

On the other hand, the Railway Recruitment Board did not delay in releasing the unofficial answer key for the RRC Level 1 CBT (Group D exam) after it was conducted by October 11 this year. The board released the Level 1 CBT provisional answer key on 14 October and invited objections from the candidates on 19 October. RRB will get these objections reviewed by the examination experts of the concerned subject and if found correct, a revised answer key will be issued. Accordingly, the Group D exam results are to be announced by the RRBs, for which no possible date has been announced by the board at present. In this regard, the Ministry of Railways has appealed to the candidates who appeared in the examination not to agitate in any way regarding the results.
