The Uttarakhand Police constable recruitment exam was held amid tight security in Uttarakhand on Sunday. The attendance in this examination, which was held at a total of 413 centers in the state, was more than 91 percent. Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) is preparing to release the result of this exam within two months.
The Commission on Sunday organized the written examination for a total of 1521 posts of Constable in Police, PAC, IRB, Fire Department. For this, admit cards were issued to 1.30 lakh candidates. Out of this, 1.19 lakh candidates appeared in the examination. Thus the total attendance was 91.88 percent. After the recruitment scam that surfaced in the state in the past, this was the biggest written recruitment test, on which everyone’s eye is on.
The commission had made strict arrangements for the examination. There was no complaint of irregularities from anywhere in the state. Due to this the commission has heaved a sigh of relief. Commission Secretary Girdhar Singh Rawat said that the Commission will seek claims and objections along with the release of the answer key. After this, efforts will be made to release the result in two months.
