But this time it is two-three months behind. The first semester exam will be held in February. While to put the next session back on track, the university has thought of putting semester break and extra classes for the students to put the session back on track. At present, emphasis has been laid on all the departments to make arrangements in their own way.

On the instructions of University Grants Commission, Common University Entrance Test (CUET) was conducted for admission in Central and State level universities, to which 44 UG-PG courses of Devi Ahilya University were added. Students were to be given admission on about 3300 seats. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted separate examinations for UG and PG courses. These exams ended in September. Later, the agency also took time to get the results. Due to this delay, the counseling started in the last week of October in the university. Due to delay, this time the university is not getting students. Despite four rounds of counselling, the seats have not been filled. By December 7, seats will be allotted to students in PG courses through CLC. Media in-charge Dr. Chandan Gupta says that the departments have made arrangements at their own level. Even though the university has been linked with CUET, but the private university of the city has benefited more. Due to delay of four months in the admission process, the students who got admission in Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya were forced to go to private university. Even students were enrolled in autonomous colleges. But when admissions started in DAVV, some students wanted to study here. But the fees were not returned to the students in these educational institutions. Due to this the university has to wait till December for the students. Most private universities have admitted students to their preferred courses by September.

impact on placement

These days the students who have got admission in the university. He has a rank above five-seven thousand in CUET. In such a situation, many departments have already started worrying, because next year in PG, the company will come for placement for these students. Due to the high rank of the students, the companies will hesitate to give jobs. Due to this the placement percentage of the university may drop.
