The University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced the academic calendar for the current session as well as the dates for the admission process for the new session. Accordingly, the final year examinations will be completed by August 31, 2021. And the new academic session will start from October 1, 2021. UGC has issued a notification in this regard saying that the University Admission Process 2021 for UG admission process in various universities will start only after the release of CBSE, ICSE and other board results. In fact, the Commission has said in a circular dated July 16, 2021 that as per the order of the Supreme Court, it is expected that the results of all state boards as well as CBSE and ICSE will be released by July 31, 2021. The admission process will, therefore, begin thereafter or tentatively from August 1, 2021 and the universities will have to complete the admission process by September 30, 2021. After this, instructions have been given to start the new session from October 2021. And the last date for taking admission on vacant seats is October 31. Along with this, if the results of the newly admitted students are delayed, then they can provide the documents by October 18. UGC has also said that in view of the pandemic, the university will not charge any cancellation fee for withdrawal of admission till October 31. Thereafter, if someone withdraws the admission then the university can deduct a maximum of Rs.
