Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission has postponed the proposed Combined Technical Services Examination on 7th August till further orders due to unavoidable reasons. Vidhan Jaiswal, the controller of examination of the commission, has issued an order in this regard. There are 292 posts of Combined Technical Services. For this, the commission had taken an application in the year 2016 while issuing advertisements. The recruitment process on these has not been completed yet. For this 52156 have applied.

At the same time, the examination for the recruitment of 8085 posts of Revenue Lekhpal will be conducted on July 31 in 12 districts of UP. 501 centers have been set up for the examination. UPSSSC shortlisted 2,47,667 candidates for the main exam on the basis of PET score. The admit cards for the exam have been issued on July 25.

PET application date extended till 31st July
The last date for submission of application and fee submission for Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) has been extended from July 27 to July 31. Due to the presence of more applicants, the server of NIC was not working properly and the application was not being submitted. Commission chairman Praveer Kumar said that this decision has been taken in the meeting of the board members. So far around 40 lakh applications have been submitted. More than 1.5 lakh are said to be still under process. The last date for fee adjustment and amendment in the application has been kept as before, August 3.
