The merit list will be prepared on the basis of CBT 1:

In MTS recruitment, the merit list of candidates is prepared on the basis of marks of CBT 1 and hence it is very important to perform better of the candidates in CBT 1. In fact, according to the official notification, the examination of Tier 2 (descriptive paper) of this recruitment is only of qualifying nature. However, if the marks of tier 1 of two or more candidates become the same after normalizing, then in such a situation, preference will be given to the candidates who score more in tier 2. At the same time, for recruitment to the posts of Havildar, the merit list can also be prepared on the basis of the marks of Tier 1.

In this recruitment of MTS and Havildar, in the second phase of examination, candidates will have to participate in a 50-mark descriptive paper. As per the information given in the notification, the candidates can write their copy in any one of the languages namely English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santhali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu or Urdu.
