Haj 2022: Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said on 22 October 2021 that those wishing to go for Haj (Haj 2022) will have to take both the doses of anti-covid-19 vaccines. The Union Minister said that the entire process of Haj-2022 will be done under the Corona guidelines set by the governments of India and Saudi Arabia.
In view of the decreasing effect of Corona, the preparations for Haj pilgrimage have started. Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that an official announcement will be made in the first week of November. The official announcement of Haj 2022 will be made in the first week of November. Along with this, the process of online application for Haj will also be started.
Haj process 100% online

He said that all Haj pilgrims would also be given the facility of digital health card, e-messiah health facility, ‘e-luggage tagging’ to give information about building/transportation of accommodation in Mecca-Medina in India.

Union Minister Naqvi said that in 2020 and 2021, about 3000 women had applied for Haj without Mehram (male companion). He also clarified that if those women who want to go for Haj in 2022, who had applied for last year’s pilgrimage, it will be valid this year as well.

According to Union Minister Naqvi, special training has been arranged for people going for Haj-2022 in India and Saudi Arabia regarding Corona protocol and health and hygiene. In view of the pandemic situation in Haj 2022, national-international protocol-guidelines will be followed diligently.
Haj pilgrimage did not take place last year
Actually, Haj pilgrimage was not done last year due to Corona. Naqvi said that women passengers without Mehram will get exemption from the lottery system. That is, such women can easily go for Hajj.
