AIDS victims will get benefits of pension scheme, housing scheme and ration card

Ranchi: Project Director Rajiv Ranjan held a review meeting at the Jharkhand State AIDS Control Committee office today. Under NACO, a meeting was held with all the officials regarding AIDS control and awareness campaign in the state of Jharkhand.

In the course of the review, the Project Director said that programs are being run at several levels under NACO to connect AIDS victims to the mainstream of society in the state of Jharkhand. The most important thing is that the employment of AIDS sufferers should be taken full care of their livelihood along with employment generation.

Under this, it has been agreed to provide benefits of ration cards, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, pension scheme from Central and State Government, Ayushman card and other schemes to the infected patients and their families. For this, the officials have been asked to coordinate with the concerned departments and work at war level so that patients can get the benefit of the scheme as soon as possible. It has also been directed that the privacy of patients should be maintained.

During the review, Additional Project Director Dr. Shyam Sundar Paswan, Joint Director Dr. Badal Chandra Bhagat, Deputy Director Dr. Chandraprakash Chaudhary, Deputy Director Dr. Devashish Chakraborty, Deputy Director Satya Prakash Prasad and officials of all departments were present.
