The Phase 1 of the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Non Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) recruitment exam has ended on 13 January. The candidates who had given the exam on the last day declared the default level moderate and balanced. The number 100 paper brought 40 questions from General Awareness, 30 from Maths and General Intelligence and Reasoning. RRB candidate Aditya Sharma described the paper as a difficult level moderate. Sharma said, “Math section was the most difficult, General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning questions were easy, and basic questions were asked from these sections.”

Another candidate Ankur Banerjee said that mathematics was difficult and time consuming. “The mathematics section was difficult and time consuming, especially trigonometry questions. General Awareness section consisted mostly of questions from General Science. While there were questions from diagrams, venn diagrams, analogies, coding-decoding. Both sections were easy. Abhishek Patil, CEO of Oliveboard, told Indian Express.com “Apart from mathematics, candidates find other sections easier. The average number of good attempts will be 68 to 75. Patil reviewed the paper as moderated.

Talking about the cut-off, there were questions in General Awareness, then its cut-off can be between 20 to 28 numbers. There were 30 number questions in mathematics, its cutoff can be from 18 to 25 numbers. There were 30 questions in General Intelligence and Reasoning. Its cutoff can be from 20 to 26 numbers. Talking about the overall cutoff, the entire paper was 100 numbers. Its cut off can be from 47 to 63 numbers. RRB NTPC CBT is a 100 number paper consisting of 100 questions in total. Each question is of 1 number. Candidates are being given 90 minutes or 1.5 hours for the paper.
