Prayagraj [धर्मेश अवस्थी]. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has again put a smile on the faces of the contestants after a gap of two months. After making the biggest recruitment for PCS 2018, the Commission has now set the record for giving the earliest result of PCS 2020 Preliminary Examination. The result was declared in just 40 days after the exam. Not only this, the number of posts in adjacent recruitment has almost doubled. This step has led to a large increase in the number of meritorious people who qualify for the main examination.
The PCS Pre Exam of UPPSC was conducted on 11 October. The number of people who participated in the examination is more than three lakhs and the selection has to be in five sections, yet the result has come surprisingly in 40 days. Meanwhile, there was also a holiday for Dussehra and Deepawali. This result is also surprising because in this commission, examinations of 2016 and earlier are being conducted these days. The Commission had earlier released the final result of PCS 2018 examination on 11 September itself. This examination was the highest for 988 posts.
235 posts increased after the exam: UPPSC was serious about PCS 2020 recruitment from the beginning, around six lakh competitors had applied for only 252 posts at that time. Commission chairman Dr. Prabhat Kumar met the Chief Minister in the recruitment commissions meeting and requested that all departments of the state send a petition. CM Yogi Adityanath gave a strict order that all posts at PCS level be sent for a petition. It has the effect that the result of preliminary examination has been released against 487 posts. That is, 235 posts have increased after the examination.
Selection of candidates also increased: In UPPSC, the rule is that the departments from which vacant posts will be requisitioned before the PCS preliminary examination result, will be added to the total posts of recruitment. 13 times the candidates will be declared successful for the main examination relative to those posts. Secretary Jagdish said that the number of candidates who have been successful 13 times relative to the 487 posts, their number may be slightly less than the total number of successful candidates, because there are many candidates.
5393 candidates succeed in preliminary examination: Please tell that Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has released the result of PCS 2020 Preliminary Examination late Saturday. 5393 candidates have been successful in this, who will now appear in the main examination.
