MP Board of Secondary Education Bhopal (Navdunia Representative). The Board of Secondary Education (Mashiman) has decided to discontinue the Best of Five scheme implemented in the tenth session from session 2020-21. With the implementation of this scheme, most of the students had stopped studying mathematics and English. Every year around one and a half lakh students are passed under the scheme.
Every year, students fail more in mathematics and English. At the same time, in 2019-20, in Corona era, two papers were canceled in the tenth, then the Best of Four scheme was also implemented in lieu of Best of Five. This time, Mandal has made complete preparations for the closure of this scheme, the final seal will be put in the Executive Committee meeting to be held after three days, Radhayashyam Julania. After the completion of this scheme, every year the number of failed and supplementary students will increase in class X. Let us know that every year about 20 lakh students participate in the tenth and twelfth board exams.
A plan was launched to increase the percentage of results
Mandal implemented this scheme from the board examination of 2016-17 to increase the percentage of results in class X. This led to an increase in the 16 percent result that year. Under this, even if a student passed in five subjects out of six subjects in class X and failed in one subject, it was also passed. In such a situation, the students had given up reading difficult topics. For this reason, the School Education Department had demanded from the government to discontinue the scheme.
Nearly 4 lakh students failed in mathematics in 2020
Every year more students fail in Mathematics in the tenth board exam. In the year 2020 board examination, 8 lakh 81 thousand 787 students gave mathematics paper. Out of this, 4 lakh 83 thousand 421 students passed and 3 lakh 98 thousand 366 students failed. After this, 6 lakh 32 thousand 117 passes and 2 lakh 49 thousand 486 failed in 8 lakh 81 thousand 603 students in science. At the same time, out of 7 lakh 66 thousand 365 students, 5 lakh 17 thousand 93 students and 2 lakh 49 thousand 272 students failed.
From this year the Best of Five scheme will be abolished in the board examination. The board has decided in this regard.
