JTDC General Manager Alok Prasad told PTI Bhasha that the value of 100 per cent share of Ashok Hotel in Ranchi is currently around Rs 6 crore, according to which ITDC will transfer its 51 per cent share to JTDC for about Rs 3 crore, Rs 6 lakh. After the MoU was signed, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the MoU signed between ITDC and JTDC on the 51% stake of Hotel Ashoka on the initiative of the Tourism Department is a major initiative and through this MoU, Jharkhand Tourism Has achieved the first stop in the field of. He said that in the last 20 years, we have taken some steps towards development, but there are many untouched areas which have yet to be developed, out of which tourism is an important area and there are immense employment opportunities in the state. He said that this is a historic victory of the tourism department. The government has achieved the first stop in the direction of the ownership of the land, which has three acres of property in three hands. Pooja Singhal, Secretary of the Department of Tourism at the signing of the MoU, said that ITDC had about 51% stake in Hotel Ashoka, the ownership of which has been signed between JTDC and ITDC. With this, about 25 thousand shares of this hotel will come under the ownership of Jharkhand. He said that 24 employees working in Hotel Ashoka will get the benefit of this agreement, as well as negotiations are going on with the Bihar government for the remaining stake and an agreement to buy 36.75 percent shares of Bihar Tourism Development Corporation is expected soon. . In today’s program, the MoU was signed between ITDC Director Piyush Tiwari and JTDC Director A. Dodde and it was agreed to transfer ownership. Apart from Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Tourism Department officials including officials of ITDC and JTDC were present on the occasion.
