18 year old Vijay Makwana of Ahmedabad has set an example of JEE Advanced Pass for admission to IIT. Vijay’s father is a small farmer in Navi Akhol, Ahmedabad. Makwana has secured All India Rank 1,849 in the Scheduled Castes category. Vijay wants to study computer or mechanical engineering from IIT Kharagpur or Roorkee. Vijay told that he wants to do masters, but after completing B.Tech, he will do a job to support his family.

Elder brother completed M Tech from Indus University

With a family annual income of less than Rs 50,000, Vijay had to work hard to meet his goal. Vijay explains that “It was not easy for my father to teach the education of three children. However, they also knew that education is the only way to break the cycle of poverty. Vijay’s elder brother completed M. Tech from Indus University, Ahmedabad with the help of scholarship program of Gujarat government.

Helped the Vismo Kids Foundation complete its studies

Vijay’s entire education was completed with the help of Vismo Kids Foundation, Ahmedabad. Regarding his preparation, Vijay said, “Regular study and frequent classes of the coaching institute helped me. The course material and online mock test also helped me a lot in cracking the admission exam. “Apart from this, he did his studies on G Tevani’s book for the preparation of Maths and on HC Verma for Physics.

MS Dhoni’s inspiration

Vijay loves to play cricket and is also inspired by the struggle and success of cricketer MS Dhoni. He explained that “His patience and ability to perform during difficult times inspired me. When I could not score anything special in the 12th exam and JEE Main, I did not lose patience and I worked hard to crack the JEE Advanced. ”

The motive is to support the children of the village

Vijay’s journey to reach his goal was not easy. State board exams and JEE mains could not do anything special. Unable to strike a balance between preparing for the board examination and entrance exam, Vijay secured 65 per cent in the Class 12 board of Gujarat Secondary Education and 94.382 in the JEE Main.

Vijay’s motive is to support the young children of the village like himself. Vijay says that once he starts earning, I will financially support the bright students of the village. I will also guide the engineering candidates for admission to the Top Teaching Institute.
