UGC Guidelines for University Exams 2020 Live News Updates: After the release of the new guidelines of the UGC, a petition has been filed in the Supreme Court that the students have not been taken care of in the new guidelines of the UGC. It has been said in the new guidelines that university exams should be conducted by 30 September. On behalf of the petitioner, the counsel argued that many universities do not have the necessary IT infrastructure to conduct the examinations online. On this, the Supreme Court has said that there is an option of offline exam in the UGC guidelines. The UGC said that no one should be mistaken that if the Supreme Court is considering this issue, then final year and semester exams will be banned.

The UGC issued its new guidelines on 6 July. The UGC filed its reply in the Supreme Court. In which it was said that the purpose of conducting the final year examinations by September 30 is to manage the future of the students so that the students do not delay the next year’s studies. The Supreme Court had asked the UGC to respond to the petitions challenging the final year examination in universities across the country.
