- The ministry that removed that language in the draft
New Delhi: Authorities recently removed Chinese language from the foreign language in the New Education Policy 2020. Secondary school students can learn a foreign language to learn about world cultures and gain world knowledge. In this context, in the draft released last year, the authorities listed French, German, Spanish, Japanese as well as Chinese languages. However, the Chinese language was removed from the final version of NEP, recently released by Union Minister Prakash Javadekar. Korean, Russian and Portuguese were added to the place. This suggests that Chinese language may not be practiced at the school level. The decision seems to have been taken in view of the situation between the two countries. The central government is taking a number of steps to hurt China after the Galvan issue. As part of this, the center imposed a ban on about 59 Chinese apps. It is known that there is also a tick in it. Another 45 apps were also banned in the second installment.
