CBSE Board 10th 12th Compartment Exam 2020, cbse.nic.in: Students who have failed the Class 10 and Class 12 exams conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) are demanding cancellation of their compartment examinations amid the COVID-19 epidemic. Even though the dates of the examinations have not been announced yet, the students are opposing the exam. CBSE has said that compartment examinations will be held only after the situation is favorable and in consultation with the government. Many students said that they failed in a subject number 2-4. Clearing their way for admission to colleges, they are urging the board to cancel the compartment examination and give them grace marks.
Meanwhile, a public interest litigation has been filed in the Supreme Court against compartment examinations. Advocate Shakti Pandey told India TV, “My prayer before the apex court is either to cancel the exam or to pass the students temporarily so that they can apply for further studies and conduct the examination later. ” “If examinations are conducted during an epidemic, the lives of students will be endangered, and if examinations are postponed, one year of students will be wasted,”.

Students say that “Due to compartment in one subject we are unable to get admission in colleges. If they conduct the exam in September, our entire year will be wasted as admissions in almost all private colleges are ending in August itself, and classes will start from September. Some students said that universities have already started the counseling process and we are not getting any seats. CBSE should cancel the compartment examination and declare the result based on the best of 3 subjects.
