UP CM Yogi Adityanath announces jobs for 11 lakh migrant workers: In the era of coronavirus pandemic, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has announced to provide employment to 11 lakh migrant laborers in the state. For this, the state government has entered into agreements with the industry. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the state government has taken forward the process of providing work to every hand and employment in every house with skill mapping. The list of 11 lakh migrant workers and workers has come from organizations such as FICCI and India Industries Association, which have given the assurance of employing such a large workforce. Describing the labor force as the biggest power, Adityanath said that with this effort, financial stability and livelihood will be accessible to the workers again.
Chief Minister Yogi says that skill mapping will enable skilled workers to work accordingly. Skill mapping of about 18 lakh workers has been done by the government.
Comprehensive reforms in workers related policies
The Yogi government has ensured comprehensive reforms in the policies and rules related to the workers, under the mission of providing employment to every family. He said that the reforms will be implemented soon. In the meeting on Friday, he said that Uttar Pradesh is on the path of development and the migrant laborers have a wider role in creating a new UP.
Let me tell you, the Yogi government of the state has decided to ease land acquisition rules for this. With this, land will be easily available for doing business i.e. for setting up industries. The government wants to adopt all the ways by which land can be made available easily to industries, including the amendment in the revenue code. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also given instructions to raise landbank for industries. Meanwhile, the UP government said that 57,000 MSMEs have taken advantage of collateral free loan scheme of Rs 3 lakh by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
Around 30 million migrant workers returned
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that so far, with the cooperation of the Central Government, about 30 lakh workers / workers have returned to Uttar Pradesh, which is more than 1,400 workers through special trains, buses from nearby states and The rest have reached Uttar Pradesh by their own means. Naturally, workers / workers migrated in large numbers from different states of the country during the epidemic. Being the largest populous state in the country, lakhs of workers / workers had to come back in Uttar Pradesh. The state government has already decided that we will make every worker / laborer’s return in Uttar Pradesh safe. The state government, along with the central government, will bring workers / workers to Uttar Pradesh for free.
Returning workers free facility
The Chief Minister said that when migrant workers migrated to Uttar Pradesh on a large scale, food, drinking water were arranged at the state border, toll plazas and other intersections. There is no set deadline for this. Whatever happens, we will get them safe, free and honorable return. All workers coming back to the state are first taken to the quarantine center and thermal screening is done there. After this, by providing ration kits to those who are healthy, we deliver them to homes through our own means for ‘home quarantine’. 15 days of food grains are provided in ration kits in which lentils, salt, flour, chillies, spice oils etc. are provided.
